Ingredients:
•2 large yams or sweet potatos, about 1 pound
• 1 jar of sweetened chestnuts
• 1/2 Cup sugar
• 1 Tablespoon Mirin

Preparation:
Peel the sweet potatos and cut into small cubes. Soak the sweet potato in water for 2 hours. Rinse well. Put water in a pan and bring to a boil. Add sweet potato and cook until softened.
Drain the water and put the sweet potato cubes back in the pan. Mash the potatoes and add sugar and mirin. Place pan on low heat and stir well. Mix in chestnuts. Cool, serve. |
