Bavarian Strawberry Cream

This is a recipe dessert from Germany.

 

Ingredients:

• 1 cup fresh strawberries
• 1 Tablespoon unflavored gelatin
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup cold water
• 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
• 1 cup cream
• Fresh fruits for garnish

Preparation:

Slice up strawberries and mix with sugar. Set aside until sugar dissolves. Sprinkle gelatin in cold water. Let stand for 5 minutes, then heat a until gelatin dissolves completely. Add gelatin and lemon juice to sliced berries. Fold in whipped cream. Pour into mold or serving dish. Chill until set. After setting, carefully remove from mold and serve. Garnish with the slices of lemon, orange, or fruit of your choice.
